Marie Jose Hnein - ماري جوزيه حنين

 Marie Jose Hnein ماري جوزيه حنين Profile: 

Marie Jose Hnein is the daughter of Nadim Hnein and Hanane Hnein, from Baabda. She was born on June 24, 1984 and was studying Business Management at AUT when she participated Miss Lebanon contest in the year 2004.  
At age 14, she started her modeling career where she was elected as Model Of The Year 1998. And then she began her modeling in her free time. A year later she elected Elite Model Look and represent Lebanon in Elite Model International, she was between top 30 among 75 beautiful girls and she started to received many job offers from International Modeling agencies who was attracted to her beauty but she preferred to come back to Lebanon because she wanted to stay with family and finished her school. Marie Jose Hnein finished her secondary school at Saint Coure. Back to her home country, Marie Jose Hnein managed her studies along with her modeling activities and various hobbies such as ballet (ballet jazz and classic ballet), playing piano. To keep her body healthy, Marie Jose Hnein loves to practice lots of sports: gymnastics, running, hiking, swimming, skiin and she has passion about flying so she practices Paragliding. She stated that flying is an incredible sensation of extreme freedom.


She was 18 years old when she participated Miss Lebanon beauty contest, Miss Lebanon 2003 was aired as real TV for 2 months where the winner was elected based on Judge scores and public votes. Marie Jose Hnein's beauty charmed many people who voted her to win Miss Lebanon 2003, she crowned as Miss Lebanon 2003 and has the right to represented Lebanon in Miss World 2003 and Miss Universe 2004 beauty pageant. Marie Jose Hnein  was placed among top 20 semifinalist in Miss World 2003, Lebanon's last placement in Miss World was 1997.


Her project as beauty queen is to protect and defend the importance of the unity in a family and to remind people the importance of communication, understanding and respect, specially between parents and children.

Marie Jose Hnein was honored by ESCWA to promote the 10th annual congress concerning Arabian Families and the importance of its unity. For Marie Jose Hnein, nothing can replace the warmth of family. Her hard work has resulted the donation of 5tons of food gathered and distributed to needy families in different area in Lebanon.
