Christina Sawaya (Arabic;
كريستين صوايا), is a former beauty pageant title holder, she was crowned as Miss Lebanon 2001 and Miss International 2002. Christina Sawaya born 16 August 1980,she is the wife of Tony Baroud a former member of the Lebanese national basketball team. Before participating Miss Lebanon 2001, Christina won Miss University Lebanon 1998 and was chosen as Top Lebanon Model 1999. Christina Sawaya won Miss Lebanon 2001 crown after she defeated 19 other contestants, and she became eligible to representing Lebanon in International beauty pageant such as Miss World 2001 and Miss International 2002 pageants.She did not place in Miss World and decided not to participate Miss Universe 2002 beauty pageant because she did not want to be in the same place with Miss Israel Yamit Hay-Noy. Christina Sawaya then traveled to Japan to represented Lebanon in Miss International 2002 beauty pageant held in Tokyo on September 2002 where she was chosen as the winner among 51 contestants from all over the world.
Christina Sawaya became the first Miss International of Middle Eastern descent, she also received Global Beauties award for "Best Overall Performance".
On 15 November 2003 Sawaya married Tony Baroud in Beirut. Baroud is a former member of the Lebanese national basketball team and now a sports commentator and TV entertainer with the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation. Tony also hosted the 2007 Miss Lebanon pageant.
