Do You guys still remember Rita Lamah? the beautiful 2nd Runner up in Miss Lebanon 2003 has married and moved to Japan. But lets refresh our memory of this gorgeous woman alive RITA LAMAH!

Rita Lamah was 21 years old when she participated Miss Lebanon 2003 pageant, her birthdate is 18th april and her parents is Lamah and Josephine. She completed her secondary school at Zahrat El Ihsan and she studied Hotel Management. Rita Lamah was working as a TV Presenter in Lebanon, she speaks French, English, Arabic and she enjoys travelling, swimming, photo modeling and reading.

After she got married, she moved to Japan with her husband. RITA LAMAH was one of the Jury in Miss Japan 2007 with Paris Hilton. As a Jury In Miss Japan 2007 Rita Lamah said she feels that contestants should be free to choose whether or not they opt for cosmetic surgery.

Q: How long have you been in Japan?
Rita Lamah: Since last summer. Before coming, I googled Japan, and the very first hit was www.metropolis.co.jp.

Q: What did you do in Lebanon?
Rita Lamah Hankach : I have been doing modeling and TV work for commercials and magazine covers all my life. I did my first TV commercial when I was 7. I was a runner-up in the Miss Lebanon contest in 2003; I was Face of the Year in 2006 in a beauty pageant called Beauty Night. Prior to coming to Japan last summer, I had been a TV presenter for seven years. My last program was a live entertaining musical program broadcast on satellite.

Q: How about the fashion industry?
Rita Lamah Hankach: I have worked with Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad as a marketing and communication manager, between Paris and Beirut, for almost three years. I’d like to have his line sold in Japan, so I have been spending my time here making connections for that.

Q :Have you been involved in the Miss Universe Japan contest?
Rita Lamah Hankach: I served as a judge for the semifinalists for Miss Universe Japan 2008. It was fun.

Q : Some people criticize beauty pageants as being degrading to women. What do you think?
Rita Lamah Hankach : Beauty pageants have a role to play. Girls are trained to represent their country anywhere in the world even if they don’t have a title. It’s a very positive thing.

Q : What do you think of Japanese women’s fashion?
Rita Lamah Hankach : In general, they are really stylish, elegant and very feminine. But I think the gothic fashion look among young girls at Harajuku is weird. They look like vampires.

Q : What is one of the strangest things you have seen in Japan?
Rita Lamah Hankach : People falling asleep on the train, even when they are standing up… and then they automatically wake up when they come to their station.

Miss Lebanon 2004

Nadine Njeim (20 years old) from Douriss was crowned as Miss Lebanon 2004, in a beauty pageant broadcasted by LBC. The pageant hosted by Nisrine Nasr a former Miss Lebanon, and Anthony Hnein the brother of Miss Lebanon 2003 Marie Jose Hnein. Lebanese Singer Nawal El Zoghbi performed in the pageant, sang her collection of her latest album.

After several judgement process, Nadine Njeim crowned as Miss Lebanon 2004. Nadine was chosen based on judges panel score which is combination of answering question, swimsuit and designer gown competition and then public voting took part 25% of the scores.

Nadine Njeim also chosen as Miss Self Confident, while 1st runner up went to Lamitta Frangieh who stormed off the stage refusing to receive her tittle. 2nd runner up went to 19 years old Cynthia Saade.

Marie Jose Hnein - ماري جوزيه حنين

 Marie Jose Hnein ماري جوزيه حنين Profile: 

Marie Jose Hnein is the daughter of Nadim Hnein and Hanane Hnein, from Baabda. She was born on June 24, 1984 and was studying Business Management at AUT when she participated Miss Lebanon contest in the year 2004.  
At age 14, she started her modeling career where she was elected as Model Of The Year 1998. And then she began her modeling in her free time. A year later she elected Elite Model Look and represent Lebanon in Elite Model International, she was between top 30 among 75 beautiful girls and she started to received many job offers from International Modeling agencies who was attracted to her beauty but she preferred to come back to Lebanon because she wanted to stay with family and finished her school. Marie Jose Hnein finished her secondary school at Saint Coure. Back to her home country, Marie Jose Hnein managed her studies along with her modeling activities and various hobbies such as ballet (ballet jazz and classic ballet), playing piano. To keep her body healthy, Marie Jose Hnein loves to practice lots of sports: gymnastics, running, hiking, swimming, skiin and she has passion about flying so she practices Paragliding. She stated that flying is an incredible sensation of extreme freedom.


She was 18 years old when she participated Miss Lebanon beauty contest, Miss Lebanon 2003 was aired as real TV for 2 months where the winner was elected based on Judge scores and public votes. Marie Jose Hnein's beauty charmed many people who voted her to win Miss Lebanon 2003, she crowned as Miss Lebanon 2003 and has the right to represented Lebanon in Miss World 2003 and Miss Universe 2004 beauty pageant. Marie Jose Hnein  was placed among top 20 semifinalist in Miss World 2003, Lebanon's last placement in Miss World was 1997.

Her project as beauty queen is to protect and defend the importance of the unity in a family and to remind people the importance of communication, understanding and respect, specially between parents and children.

Marie Jose Hnein was honored by ESCWA to promote the 10th annual congress concerning Arabian Families and the importance of its unity. For Marie Jose Hnein, nothing can replace the warmth of family. Her hard work has resulted the donation of 5tons of food gathered and distributed to needy families in different area in Lebanon.

Leen Sleiman - لين سليمان

Leen Sleiman (Lin Sleiman لين سليمان) Profile:

Leen Sleiman from Baalbeck was born on the 22nd of August to parents Wasef and Iman.
She completed her secondary studies at CTI and was currently enrolled at BAU where she is majoring in English Literature when she participated Miss Lebanon 2003 pageant and placed as First runner up.
She speaks English, Arabic and likes swimming, reading and horseback riding.

شاركت الجميلة لين سليمان في مسابقة ملكة جمال لبنان مصادفةً وبتشجيع من الأهل والأصدقاء فنالت لقب الوصيفة الأولى عام 2003، الى لقب ملكة جمال التصوير.  تصف لين تجربة تلفزيون الواقع في ملكة جمال لبنان بالمرهقة وغير العادلة.  درست الأدب الإنكليزي وتهوى ركوب الخيل. دخلت مجال الإعلام الذي تحتاط منه كثيراً حيث قدمت برنامج «غير شكل» الذي يهتم بتغيير الشكل الخارجي للمشتركين من ماكياج وشعر وهندام.  استقبلتنا العروس في عش الزوجية الجديد لتخبرنا عن تجربتها في عالم الجمال والإعلام.
كيف تصفين نفسك؟ How would you describe yourself?

إمرأة راضية عن شكلي الخارجي وشخصيتي ومقتنعة بما انا عليه.  تميزني طيبة القلب والتسامح، رغم ان هذه الصفات لم تعد إيجابية فمعظم الناس باتوا لا يفكرون إلا بمصالحهم.  باتت الصداقة نادرة في أيامنا. Friendship has become rare nowadays.

ماذا عن تجربتك في مسابقة ملكة جمال لبنان؟ What about your experience in the Miss Lebanon?

عرفت بالمسابقة من خلال الإعلانات على شاشة «الشبكة اللبنانية للإرسال» LBC. I knew the competition through advertising on the screen «Lebanese Broadcasting Network» LBC. لفتتني الفكرة إذ بدت تجربة تلفزيون الواقع جديدة ومثيرة. Strikes my ear as the idea seemed to experience a new reality TV show and exciting. أكثر ما أثار اهتمامي في المسابقة أنه للمرة الأولى لم يكن هناك استعراض للباس البحر، ولأني فتاة مسلمة لم تستهوني فكرة الظهور أمام العالم كله بلباس البحر.  لا أصف التجربة بالجميلة إذ كانت أقرب الى كونها مهمة شاقة، خاصةً اننا سجنا في المنزل لمدة شهرين. . حتى وقت تحدثنا الى الأهل محدود وكل تحركاتنا مراقبة في كل زاوية وكل دقيقة.  لا اندم على التجربة، لكن لو أمكنني الرجوع في الوقت فإني لا أشترك ثانية. I do not regret the experience but if i could turn back the time i would not sign up again الواقع أن ما كنا نختبره ونعيشه يومياً مختلف عما كان يراه الناس على التلفزيون من أوقات ممتعة فالنشاطات اليومية الكثيرة كانت تتسبب لنا بالإرهاق، خاصةً أننا كنا نقوم بنشاطات كثيرة طوال اليوم من مسرح وغناء ورقص وتمارين رياضية. Indeed, what we experience and we live every day was different from what people see on TV from fun times daily Valnchatat many were causing us tired, especially that we were many activities throughout the day from the scene, singing and dancing and aerobics.

هل شعرت بالظلم لعدم حصولك على اللقب؟ Have you ever felt aggrieved not to get the title?

لم أنل حقي من المسابقة فـ «الواسطة» أقوى مني إذ كنت متأكدة من حصولي على النسبة الأعلى من التصويت.  I was sure I got the highest percentage of the vote. رغم ذلك نالت ماري جوزيه حنين اللقب. However, Marie-Jose Hnein won the title. أعتقد ان الوساطة لعبت دوراً كبيراً في الموضوع. I think that media played a major role in the matter.

كيف أفدتِ من التجربة؟ How benefited from the experience?

لا أنكر أن خوض التجربة أفادني الى حد بعيد إذ فتح لي أبواب العمل في مجال الإعلانات والتلفزيون، رغم انني أهاب مجال الإعلام بسبب ما يشاع عن أجواء غير نظيفة.  أحاول قدر الإمكان عدم الغوص كثيراً في هذا المجال وأحدّ من طموحاتي فيه. I try as much as possible not to dive a lot in this area and one of my ambitions in it.

ما تعريفك للجمال؟ What your definition of beauty?

الجمال الداخلي يسبق الجمال الخارجي، ولكنّ أحداً لا يسعه إنكار أهمية المظهر الخارجي على الصعيدين العملي والإجتماعي. Inner beauty before outer beauty, but one can not deny the importance of outward appearance, both professionally and socially. كذلك الأمر بالنسبة الى العلاقات العاطفية فمعظم الشبان يلفتهم مظهر الفتاة الخارجي قبل الغوص في صفاتها ومزاياها النفسية. The same applies to relationships Ifatthm Most of the young girl's outer appearance before diving into the psychological characteristics and advantages. يهمني كل ما يتعلق بالجمال والموضة والأناقة. All I care about beauty, fashion and elegance. تلفتني الفتاة التي تظهر قيمتها المرموقة من خلال أناقتها. Tfattni girls that are valuable during the prestigious elegance.

الى أي مدى يشبهك البرنامج الذي قدّمتِه؟ The extent to which like you, the show presented?

أهوى كل ما يعالجه البرنامج من مواضيع تتعلق بالماكياج وتصفيف الشعر والأناقة. Love all of the program addressed topics related to makeup and hair styling and elegance. أحب تغيير شكل الأشخاص نحو الأفضل وترك أثر إيجابي في حياتهم. I like to change the shape of people for the better and leave a positive impact in their lives.

ما طموحاتك في مجال الإعلام؟ What your aspirations in the media?

أحب ان أكون مذيعة أخبار لكن لم يتح لي الوقت العمل على تحقيق طموحي هذا. I would like to be a news anchor, but I have not had time to work on this to achieve my ambition.

ما موقفك من الشائعات التي طالتك حول الزواج والطلاق؟ What's your Taltk rumors about marriage and divorce?

تمت خطبتي سابقاً لكن لم يتم النصيب. I have got engaged earlier but did not share. أما اليوم فما زلت عروساً جديدة منذ أقل من شهر. Today, I'm still a new bride for less than a month. هذه الشائعات هي ضريبة العمل في مجال الإعلام. These rumors are taxed in the media. التأثر بالشائعات والردّ عليها يؤذيانني نفسياً. Vulnerable to rumors and reply to Iwveanni psychologically.

من الرجل الأجمل في نظرك؟ Of the most beautiful man in your opinion?

جورج كلوني. George Clooney.

الى أي حد تواكبين الموضة؟ To what extent Toackbyn fashion?

كلما سمح لي الوقت بمتابعة عروض الأزياء عبر التلفزيون او المجلات. Whenever allowed me time to pursue fashion shows on television or magazines. أحاول الإطلاع على كل جديد. I try to see each new. أما التسوق فدونه الأوضاع الامنية في لبنان، لذا لم أذهب للتبضع منذ أكثر من أربعة أشهر. The shopping Vdonh the security situation in Lebanon, so I did not go to shop for more than four months. لم اعد أعتبر التسوق ضرورة بل صرت أقصد المتاجر التي أدرك أنها تحوي ما يرضي ذوقي وأبتاع حاجتي فحسب. No longer need to take it shopping, but I mean the stores that I became aware that it contains something to satisfy my taste and bought my needs only.

ماذا تحبين ولا تحبين في لين سليمان؟ What do you like and you do not like about yourself?

أحب الصبر الذي أتمتع به ولا أحب ثقتي العمياء بالناس. Love the patience that I enjoy it I do not like my trust in blind people.

ما سر جمال المرأة وسر جمال الرجل؟ What is the secret beauty of a woman the man the secret of beauty?

سر جمال المرأة أنوثتها والرجل رجولته. The secret of beauty of a woman her femininity and men manhood.

هل تفكرين في خوض مجال التمثيل؟ Do you ever think about going into acting?

لا أدري إن كنت أملك موهبة التمثيل. I do not know I had the talent representation.

ما هو حلمك؟ What is your dream?

أحلم بأن أكون امرأة صالحة من كل النواحي، فضلاً عن حلم الامومة الذي أسعى حالياً الى تحقيقه. I dream of being a woman is valid in all respects, as well as the dream of motherhood, which is currently trying to achieve.
